Inventory Management

Optimises receiving, storing, tracking and distribution across warehouses and substations.

What it does

Stock is received into the central warehouse and recorded. A field store or substation raises a request for what it needs, a second person there verifies it, the central store approves and allocates, and the operator issues the material at the ground level. Every receipt, request, approval and issue is a record, so the stock in hand at any store is a number rather than an estimate.

Who uses it

The central store’s senior administrator manages the warehouses, receives stock and approves requests. At each substation a maker raises requests and a checker verifies and forwards them. Operators distribute the material where it is used.

How it runs

The central store receives and stores the products, the substation’s maker raises a request for what is needed, the checker verifies the request and forwards it, the central store approves and allocates the stock, and the operator distributes it to the ground level.

In government, and in a private business

For a utility, a public works department or a body with many field stores, material goes out against an approved indent and the central figure and the field figure are the same figure. A store that is short or overstocked is visible before the audit finds it.

A manufacturer or a trader with a godown and several sites or branches has the same stock in someone’s head. The request, verify, approve and issue steps work there as they stand; anything specific to your trade is built on the walk, not assumed.

How it runs, step by step

  1. Product receptionSuper Admin receives and stores products.
  2. Substation requestMaker raises a request for new products.
  3. VerificationChecker verifies and forwards to Super Admin.
  4. ApprovalSuper Admin approves and allocates products.
  5. DistributionOperator distributes to the ground level.
