Health Assist

What it does

A patient registers with a health profile, answers an online questionnaire about symptoms and risk, and books a consultation online or at a clinic. The doctor consults, diagnoses against a protocol and prescribes, and the prescription goes to the pharmacy, which delivers the medicines to the door. The record of the visit, the diagnosis and the medicines stays with the patient.

Who uses it

Patients book appointments, see their diagnostics and order medicines. Doctors and other providers consult online or in person, diagnose and prescribe. The pharmacy and its delivery staff fulfil the prescriptions and manage the doorstep delivery.

How it runs

The patient creates a profile with health details, completes the online symptom and risk questionnaire, books an online or clinic consultation, receives a diagnosis and a treatment plan that follow a set protocol, and orders the prescribed medicines for delivery at home.

In government, and in a private business

For a public hospital or a health department running OPDs, the queue at the registration window moves to the phone, the assessment reaches the doctor before the patient does, and the follow-up for a chronic patient is a schedule rather than a hope. The pharmacy sees the prescription, not a slip.

A private hospital group, a clinic chain or an employer arranging care for its staff can run the same OPD and pharmacy loop for its own patients. The elderly and the chronically ill are the ones who gain most from the delivery at the door.
